About the package

The package includes, among others, basic laboratory tests, imaging diagnostics and medical consultations.

  • The test results are analysed by an internal medicine doctor who decides on the further specialist treatment or diagnostics.
  • You are given the opportunity to select tests within the specific packages, depending on doctor’s recommendation or preferences.
  • For your comfort, all tests are carried out during a one-day stay in the hospital. The testing process is co-ordinated by an Individual Patient Assistant.
  • The health screening package ends with a medical consultation which will take place at a date and time convenient for you. It includes an interpretation of all the performed tests with a final report, individual recommendations concerning lifestyle, dietary habits, physical activity, use of dietary supplements and advice on methods of preventing lifestyle diseases.

BASIC PACKAGE

LABORATORY TESTS
Complete blood count and blood smear

It includes an assessment of the red blood cell count, white blood cell count and platelet count. This test can detect many diseases, including anaemia, acute and chronic inflammation and hematologic (haematopoietic) system diseases.

ESR

Higher rate of red blood cell sedimentation may be observed in inflammatory and neoplastic diseases.

ALT, AST

Basic parameters in diagnosis of acute and chronic liver disease.

Creatinine

Increased level of creatinine may indicate acute or chronic renal failure.

Lipid profile

A correct level of particular cholesterol fractions lowers the risk of atherosclerosis and its consequences: coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction and stroke.

Fasting blood sugar

Its elevated level may indicate prediabetes or diabetes. These diseases may also be a symptom of pancreas disease or diseases of the endocrine (hormonal) system.

TSH

Basic screening test to detect endocrine disorders of the thyroid.

Iron

Incorrect level of iron is a feature of diseases such as anaemia, neoplastic diseases, renal disease, rheumatic diseases, liver disease.

Electrolytes (sodium and potassium)

Correct levels of these electrolytes ensure proper muscle and heart function. They also facilitate concentration.

Faecal occult blood (3 samples)

This test allows to detect presence of blood that cannot be observed with the unaided eye. A positive result means that there is bleeding to the gastrointestinal tract due to a variety of reasons. The test is used as a screening test for colorectal cancer.

General urinalysis

This test helps to recognise a urinary tract infection. It is very valuable in diagnosis of kidney and metabolic diseases (including diabetes).

Resting ECG

By measuring the heart's electrical activity, heart diseases may be detected.

Abdominal ultrasound

It helps to assess the structure of the organs in the abdominal cavity such as liver, kidneys, spleen, pancreas and their possible pathologies.

SPECIALIST CONSULTATIONS
Preliminary and summary internal medicine consultation

A comprehensive medical history and examination of the patient, their diet and physical activity to detect sleep apnea syndrome and depression.

Gynaecological consultation

Consultation includes cytology, gynaecological and breast ultrasound.

Dental check-up

Overall assessment of the patient’s teeth.

LABORATORY TESTS
Urea

Supplementary test for assessment of renal function.

Uric acid

Basic test in diagnostics of gout.

GGTP

This test is useful in assessing liver damage, including viral, toxic and alcohol damage. It is helpful in the diagnostics of gallbladder and bile duct diseases.

Total bilirubin

It is used to detect liver and bile duct diseases and diseases with concomitant dissolution of blood cells, most often due to bacterial toxins.

Amylase

It is used to identify pancreas diseases, cholecystitis, liver and salivary glands diseases, some neoplasms and alcohol abuse.

UIBC

This test is useful in assessing disorders of iron metabolism.

FT3, FT4

Tests for a more accurate assessment of the thyroid gland.

VDRL

Syphilis screening test.

Magnesium

Measurement of the magnesium ion concentration. Magnesium is an important building block of bones required for blood clotting, cardiac muscle contraction and many other processes.

This scan allows an accurate assessment of the thyroid and detection of possible lesions.
