The Ophthalmology Department of the St. Adalbert’s Hospital conducts sponsored clinical studies in patients with age-related macular degeneration.
Based on them, some patients who cannot receive treatment reimbursed by the National Health Fund as part of e.g. Wet AMD Therapeutic Programme can qualify for free treatment.
You can join a clinical study based on the stage of your disease determined during an evaluation visit and if your age-related macular degeneration is newly diagnosed, i.e. has not been treated with anti-VEGF injections yet.
