Sterilisation of tools

Our offer

The Sterilisation Centre at St Wojciech’s Hospital offers services in the field of sterilisation and disinfection of surgical and laparoscopic instruments used in microsurgery, gynaecology, laryngology, dentistry, diagnostics, cosmetology, tattooing, podology and other fields. We guarantee a professional service performed by well-qualified staff.

For disinfection and cleaning we use agents that are safe for materials with a highly sensitive structure. Due to very good cleaning performance our agents are effective for various microbes, including prion proteins. They are also highly biocidal and can eliminate bacterial spores. All of our disinfectants are certified according to the European Standard EN 14885 and phase 2 step 2 tests. For sterilisation we use packaging material conforming to standards CEN 868 2 -10 and 11607 1-2.

Our activities are carried out in accordance with EN procedures and instructions. We monitor and document all cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation processes. We place a three-line double label on very product. The label contains a code for all conducted processes, date of sterilisation and expiry date. The label needs to be inserted in the patient records. We take full responsibility for the physical and biological outcome of decontamination processes which ensure sterility and safety of medical instruments.
